Funding to tackle child abuse
Technological University Dublin are one of five global winners of a fund to tackle child abuse, awarded by the Tech Coalition Safe Online Research Fund. The funded project, termed “N-Light”, is led by Dr. Susan McKeever and supported by Dr. Christina Thorpe. National agencies ISPCC and the national Hotline.ie agency will also partner on the project. The project aims to produce a technology AI tool for identifying patterns of child grooming and abuser activities. Further details can be found here.
